Here in Chicago, the temperature has dipped well below freezing and there’s no reason to think it will get better until say, late March. I’ve lived here all my life and am resigned to the vile weather but there’s a new twist — I can’t use my iPhone with gloves.
This may seem trivial, but in climates like this, it’s no small inconveinence. It’s also no small coincidence that stores are full of fingerless gloves and mittens with removable tops. Even better are those designed specifically for this purpose that add a tactile element like small metallic dots to the tips, thus allowing touch screen connections without the risk of frostbite.
